As a part of the vibrant street food market of Reffen, BLÆS is a unique glassblowing studio housed in repurposed shipping containers. This creative space combines traditional craft methods with contemporary designs, producing unique works and sculptural installations. The work by BLÆS represents an assimilation of design and nature, form and function, art and technology in the encounter of the individual artistic approaches and practices of Jette Noa Liv Bøge and Sally Xenia Christensen, both glass designers with extensive experience within the field of glass.

BLÆS refers to the thousands of years old art form where a liquid glass mass is expanded and shaped through mouth blowing. In their collective glass workshops, the traditional craft is presented and further developed in a contemporary way. BLÆS' workshops function as open and outward-looking spaces, engaging social interaction to promote and develop the field of handicrafts.

Sustainability and circular thinking are an integral part of the workshops, where pieces are built from recycled materials. The sustainable process and design, where waste glass is used in the creations, gives a distinct finish and materiality. As a handmade product, each piece of glass carries its own unique traces of the process and passion of the craft, which sets it apart from mass-produced glassware - a long-lasting product that can be used and appreciated for many years.

The types of workshops they offer:

/ 1-Hour Glassblowing Experience, for those seeking a more condensed introduction. Sessions are available by appointment, offering a flexible and personal way to explore the craft of glassblowing.

/ 4-Week Glassblowing Experience, to immerse yourself in the world of glassblowing through comprehensive course, design to teach the fundamentals of this mesmerizing craft. You will get a chance to create approximately two glass objects per session.

Whether you're a beginner eager to learn, an enthusiast seeking artistic inspiration, or someone in search of a unique experience, BLÆS has something for everyone. Explore the beauty of glass and the joy of creation in a setting that celebrates art, sustainability, and community.
